I had this smaller skein of organic cotton yarn laying around, and have been trying to decide what to do with it. Winter is coming, so I thought, why not make a toddler hat! I am a huge fan of Ravelry.com, but sometimes I start choosing too many patterns and have no idea which one I really want to start with! So, I was taking my daughter to story time at the library, and decided to take a peek at some knitting books. I adore the library because you can find a book on almost anything, and instead of it piling up in your house, you just take it back when you are done (or when it is due!). This particular pattern came from a book called Quick Knits or Last Minute Knits... Something like that...
Anyway, I love this pattern because there is a place where you can make holes, then make an i-cord string and weave it through. You can do whatever colors you are feeling, make stripes, and/or mix and match! Here are 2 examples of hats like this I have completed. If you are interested in the pattern, or want to know exactly which book I got it from (I am always at the library, so can easily go check), please let me know! I have a dear friend of mine that I am making a couple of these hats for, so if interested in me making you one, message me!
